We're recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Accounts Assistant to support the day-to-day finance function within a busy transport and logistics business.

Key Responsibilities:

Purchase Ledger processing, supplier statement reconciliations and payment runs
Sales Ledger, invoicing and customer account management
Credit Control, chasing overdue payments and resolving queries
Supporting weekly and monthly payroll using Sage Payroll
Daily bank reconciliations, expense processing and cash management
Assisting with month-end activities including journals, accruals, prepayments and reporting
Maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the wider finance team
Providing occasional reception and general office support when required

Requirements:

Minimum 3 years' experience in an Accounts Assistant or Finance Assistant role
Strong Purchase Ledger, Sales Ledger and Credit Control experience
Previous experience using Sage 50 Accounts Professional and Sage Payroll
Experience with bank reconciliations and payroll administration
Good Excel skills and strong attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work to deadlines
