Nelson Recruitment Services are urgently looking for a practical, reliable and proactive Site Maintenance Operative to join our Facilities team at our Tamworth site. If you enjoy hands-on work, take pride in maintaining a safe and professional working environment, and have a broad range of maintenance skills, we'd love to hear from you.

This is a varied role where no two days are the same. You'll play a key part in ensuring our site remains safe, functional and well-presented while supporting colleagues across the business.

What You'll Be Doing

As our Site Maintenance Operative, your responsibilities will include:

Carrying out general repairs to site fixtures and fittings
Painting, decorating and completing basic maintenance tasks
Installing appliances and equipment
Assisting with the upkeep of external yards and landscaped areas
Disposing of waste safely in designated areas
Setting up meeting rooms and replenishing refreshments
Supporting statutory inspections and compliance activities
Promoting and maintaining high standards of health and safety
Providing maintenance support across other company sites when required
Assisting with showroom and trade stand display installations
Driving company vehicles as part of your duties
Providing additional support to the Facilities team as needed

Essential

Full UK driving licence
Basic electrical wiring knowledge
Basic plumbing and carpentry skills
Painting and decorating experience, including filling and painting
A positive, helpful and approachable attitude
Professionalism and integrity when representing the business
Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Desirable

Forklift licence
MEWP (Mobile Elevated Work Platform) licence
PAT Testing qualification
