Refuge Manager - Domestic Abuse Service

The rewards

The role of Refuge Manager:

Day-to-day leadership and operational management of refuge accommodation services
Support the Service Manager in ensuring the safe and effective running of the service
Provide leadership to support workers and volunteers
Oversee safeguarding and risk management processes
Ensure high standards of support for residents
Staff supervision, development, and performance management
Monitor service performance and manage referrals and housing-related matters
Support tenancy management processes
Work collaboratively with statutory and voluntary sector partners
Contribute to service development and strategic planning

The ideal Refuge Manager:

Previous management or senior-level experience within domestic abuse, supported housing, refuge, homelessness, or a related support service
Strong understanding of safeguarding, risk management and trauma-informed practice
Experience supervising and developing staff teams
Knowledge of housing management, tenancy-related issues and partnership working
Excellent communication, leadership and organisational skills
Genuine passion for supporting vulnerable individuals
