Independent Domestic Violence Advisor - Black Country

The rewards

The role of Independent Domestic Violence Advisor:

Deliver high-quality frontline support to individuals identified as high risk of harm
Manage a caseload providing crisis intervention, advocacy, and tailored safety planning
Work closely with key partners including housing, police, and social care
Attend multi-agency meetings such as MARAC to represent clients and ensure coordinated support
Deliver a mixture of telephone, face-to-face, and outreach work
Support individuals to understand their options around housing, legal remedies, and welfare
Empower survivors to regain independence and control

The ideal Independent Domestic Violence Advisor:

Experience working with vulnerable adults and/or children, ideally within domestic abuse or a related field
Strong knowledge of risk assessment, safety planning, and safeguarding practices
Ability to manage complex casework and respond effectively to crisis situations
Experience working within a multi-agency framework and advocating on behalf of clients
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proactive, organised approach with strong caseload management skills
IDVA qualification or relevant experience in domestic abuse services highly advantageous
