HGV Class 1 Driver (Nights) — Tamworth

The rewards

£19.50 per hour

Hours

Monday to Friday nights — start times between 21:30 and 00:30

The role of HGV Class 1 Driver:

Nationwide delivery of automotive parts including cages, pallets (engines and gearboxes) and light boxed items
Offloading goods using a pump truck or manual handling where required
Completing multiple drops per shift depending on route
Adhering to all road safety and site health and safety procedures
Routes may include Manchester, Bolton, Scunthorpe, Exeter, Southampton, Berkeley and surrounding areas

The ideal HGV Class 1 Driver:

Minimum 1 year of Class 1 (C+E) driving experience
Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
Maximum 6 penalty points (no DD, DR, IN or CD endorsements)
Physically fit and comfortable with light manual handling and pump truck use
Safety boots and hi-vis required
Right to work in the UK — documentation required prior to start

Additional context

Manpower UK are recruiting HGV Class 1 Drivers for an immediate start with a well-established automotive logistics provider in Tamworth. All candidates attend a site-based assessment including a Highway Code theory test, yard manoeuvres and a 45-minute on-road driving assessment. Successful candidates complete induction and onboarding on the same day.
