Mechanical Assembly Operative

The role of Mechanical Assembly Operative:

Assembling special purpose equipment using hand and basic air tools
Working with high accuracy and attention to detail following engineering drawings
Basic fault finding and problem solving on own work
Some experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, hoses and associated pipework (ideal but not essential)

The ideal Mechanical Assembly Operative:

Solid hands-on mechanical assembly experience in a factory, workshop or production environment
Plant or maintenance engineering background also suitable
High accuracy and attention to detail, working to safe work methods and high quality standards
Some electrical understanding and ability to use computers (desirable)
