Finance Director (Southeast Asia)

Automotive Manufacturing | Senior Leadership Role

A rare opportunity for a high-potential finance leader to step into a Finance Director role with international scope and a clear pathway to broader regional or global responsibility.

The role will begin with an initial UK-based period of approximately 6 months, followed by relocation to Southeast Asia, where you will lead finance for a major manufacturing operation.

The Role

Reporting directly into senior leadership, you will lead all financial activity for the site, acting as a trusted partner to the Managing Director and leadership team. You’ll drive performance, strengthen governance, and deliver commercial insight across a complex manufacturing environment, while leading and developing a high-performing finance team.

Key Focus

Full ownership of site finance, reporting, controls, and compliance
Strategic business partnering with senior operational leaders
Budgeting, forecasting, CAPEX, and performance delivery
Driving cost, margin, cash, and working-capital improvements
Leading finance transformation, simplification, and efficiency
Coaching and developing a strong local finance function

About You

Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
Strong technical and commercial finance background
Trained in a top-tier audit or advisory firm (manufacturing preferred)
Confident leader with gravitas, influence, and analytical strength
Ambitious, mobile, and motivated by international progression

Location & Mobility

Midlands based initially (~6 months)
Long-term relocation to Southeast Asia required
