Hours

Temporary role — flexible hours, Birmingham-based

The role of Recovery Worker:

Manage a caseload of clients with varying support needs, providing tailored support and intervention plans
Complete comprehensive assessments, risk assessments and recovery plans
Deliver one-to-one support and structured interventions
Promote harm reduction, safeguarding and wellbeing initiatives
Liaise with healthcare professionals, housing providers and partner organisations
Maintain accurate and confidential case records
Encourage service users to engage positively with treatment and recovery services
Support individuals towards improved independence and social inclusion

The ideal Recovery Worker:

Previous experience in substance misuse, mental health, homelessness or recovery services
Strong understanding of safeguarding and risk management
Experience managing caseloads and supporting vulnerable individuals
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to build strong professional relationships with service users and stakeholders
Strong organisational and time-management skills
Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
Flexibility and adaptability within a fast-paced environment
